Many inner city seniors want to stay in their homes as long as possible.  The Helping Hands Program helps to maintain that independence by providing basic services.

Workers accompany seniors on shopping trips, or shop for them if needed.

They transport seniors for medical and dental appointments, provide friendly visits for isolated or shut-in seniors, and help connect them to the larger community.

As a result, many inner city seniors do not require long term health care until much later.
